Now announcing wave 2 of our challenge. We had a limited supply of medals and shirts leftover, so we decided to open up a second wave of the race. Participants may now sign up for the second wave and complete the 450K any time between August 1 and November 1. All of the same rules apply. Registration is now open.
This is a 280 mile/450K virtual run across Virginia from the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail in Chesapeake to the middle of the Memorial Bridge over the Potomac River in Arlington, Virginia. The virtual route follows the East Coast Greenway Trail. Complete your mileage as you see fit by running or walking, either by treadmill, on the trails or on the street. There is also a cycling option and a multisport option where you may complete the distance with a combination of running, walking, cycling or swimming. Athletes will be able to track their progress along the route as if they are actually on the trail. Find out more about this great trail and great historical Virginia landmarks and towns along the way as you track your progress.
We're giving you 12 weeks starting June 15th to run/bike the distance from Dismal to DC (just 23 miles a week)! Register for the event and get the distance done over the course of the 12 weeks. "Simply" run, walk or cycle the 281 Miles over the course of June 15th to September 7 and log your miles as you go in the super easy tracking device and voila, you're done! We've now added a wave 2 where participants have the opportunity to complete the course between August 1 and November 1. Good luck and have fun!

You can join a challenge anytime. You have until September 7 to finish the challenge and we've also added a wave 2 that begins on 8/1 and ends on 11/1.
LIVE MAP TRACKING
You will be able to see your progress along the route as you enter your mileage! Our live map tracking feature will even allow you to see where your fellow challengers are on the map compared to you. Study the map to find out about the East Coast Greenway and unique Virginia history along the way.
